CLINICIANS
MEET HALEIGH SCOTT, PH.D
Haleigh Scott, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist
Background & Areas of Specialization:
BACKGROUND
Ph.D. in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Psychology from The Ohio State University.
Research and clinical work at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and the UC Davis MIND Institute.
In 2020, I left the academic world because I wanted to provide support for families and individuals in my community.
SPECIALIZATIONS
I specialize in autism assessment and therapy for people with higher support needs, severe mental health, trauma, or transition-aged youth.
Therapy Approach
My approach always begins with a relationship. A strong, positive, trusting relationship is the basis for impactful work in therapy. I work with individuals and families to understand what goals and dreams they have for their lives.
What does a happy and connected life mean to you? Once we identify this, we can explore the barriers or challenges and identify what skills or supports are needed in those areas. I have worked with people at all levels of support need, and can adapt therapy to the person and their abilities. Most of my work is based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Therapy (BT) techniques.
Outside of Work Passions:
I have so many passions outside of work! I love to be outside, rock climbing, trail running, and mountain biking. I enjoy cooking and traveling to eat great food, and I am a great resource for restaurant recommendations.
MEET Andrea Schneider, Ph.D
Andrea Schneider, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist
Background & Areas of Specialization:
BACKGROUND
Licensed psychologist, originally from Germany, with over 25 years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, from infants to older adults.
In addition to my private practice work, I also remain actively involved in research and advocacy related to neurodiversity and inclusive mental health care.
SPECIALIZATIONS
My clinical work focuses on neurodevelopmental conditions—including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities—as well as genetic disorders, trauma, anxiety, and complex psychiatric presentations.
I have extensive experience conducting psychological assessments, and I specialize in helping individuals and families better understand the connections between cognition, emotion, and behavior.
Therapy Approach
My approach is collaborative, warm, and neuroaffirming. I believe that meaningful change starts with understanding a person’s unique story—how their strengths, challenges, and lived experiences shape how they move through the world. Whether I am conducting an assessment, or consulting with families, I strive to create a space that is respectful, validating, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment.
I draw from cognitive-behavioral, relational, and mindfulness-based approaches while tailoring my work to each individual’s needs. I also value open communication and transparency, especially when navigating complex systems like schools, healthcare, or disability services.
Outside of Work Passions:
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family—especially exploring nature, working on school projects with my son, and finding creative ways to stay active. I have a lifelong love of martial arts and practice Aikido. Whether I’m fencing with LED sabers at a local event or hiking with my family, I find joy in movement, creativity, and connection.

Whether I’m helping someone navigate anxiety, build social confidence, or process grief, my priority is to empower each person with self-compassion and a renewed sense of possibility.
Outside of Work Passions:
Outside of my work, I’m passionate about dance — especially ballet, contemporary, and jazz. I love storytelling, art, music, gardening, traveling, and exploring local community events.
